Dunkerque D1 French grand-prix

posted at 10h22

hi,

This week-end was the first D1 french GP in Dunkerque. My race was good.

The swim was very hard because of the first buoy just 200 meters after the start. We were all together so that we cannot swim without pushing each other and that make me drink a lot of the good Dunkerque port water well-know for her content in salt, hydrocarbon... So my swim was not very good, but enough to be in the good bike pack.

The bike part was very dangerous and very fast. I was near to fall a lot of times because we were 50 in the pack and the bike part was narrow and sinuous.

The running part was good for me with very good feelings and a good time. Finally I finish 17th that is very good for me.

My next race is the U23 world champs in Vancouver June the 8th and I hope I will be even better...

See you soon,

Auré

Ticket for U23 triathlon world champs

posted at 16h09

Hi!

That's a great new! I have my ticket for the U23 World Champs in Vancouver. I realized a good swimming selection test: 17.49 on 1500m . My running test on 10km was not so good :32.28 but it was enough to integrate the U23 french team.
The world champs will be in Vancouver the 8th of june on an olympic distance (1500m swimming/ 40km cycling/ 10km running).
To prepar this objective, I've already done four preparing triathlons where my feelings were very good. My last competition before the worlds is the Dunkerque French grand prix this weekend where I hope my feelings will be even better.

See you soon,

Auré

First try on 10km running

posted at 19h59

Hi every body,

This year, our selections for the U23 world championship will be done on a 10km running and a 1500m swimming on april the 19th and 20th. That is why I decided to participate at the Leucate's 10km to take my marks on this distance. My final time is 32'35. Hopefully I will have a chance to do better in Nice (April 20). And I'm going to for sure!!
Have a good train,

See you,

Auré

In the skin of a long distance swimmer...

posted at 14h46

Hi every body,

Last sunday I 've done a 5000m swim indoor (hopefully in a 50m swimming pool...). It made me to see what a long distance swimmer feel! It was so long that I was hard to keep the same speed at all times. The first 1500m was already hard...then I cannot remember anything...I was somewhere else until I heard the first blast of a whistle announcing the last 100m. Finally I've done 1h02'43" corresponding to about 1'15 per 100m. That result confirm once again that my swim has improved.

Bye

Aurélien
